DAVID MICHAEL MELNYCK

WILBRAHAM – David M. Melnyck, 66, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Vantage of Wilbraham. 

David was born on October 31, 1957, in Springfield, MA to Michael Melnyck and Judith Egan. 

David graduated from Westfield High School, Class of 1975 and continued his education at Holyoke Community College. 

David had worked for many years as a professional exterior house painter and as a security officer.

David was an avid Sox fan.  He enjoyed listening to music and thoroughbred horse racing.  He enjoyed playing Little League baseball and played on the leagues at Westfield American Legion Post 124 and Holyoke Community College. 

David took great pride in being a father, speaking often of the joys of fatherhood. 

Davis is predeceased by his mother,  Judith Egan.   He leaves his daughter Kelly Melnyck,  his son Mark Melnyck, his sisters Susan Bills and Lisa Woodburn (Bill), father Michael Melnyck, his nephews Steven and Jovan, his cousins Michele and Michael, his longtime friends  Mark Fisher and Joe Keefe, along with many other family members and friends. 

A private burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westfield, MA in the Spring of 2024.
