Diehl Alanson Warner Jr.

Diehl Alanson Warner, Jr., (81) son of Diehl Alanson Warner and Sophia Elizabeth Warner, died at Baystate Medical Center on Monday, August 21st. Diehl was born on September 9th, 1935. Mr. Warner was a lifelong resident of Westfield. He was a graduate of Westfield High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956, spending some of that time in West Germany as a Corporal. In 1962, he obtained a B.A. in History with Honors from American International College, and later pursued post-graduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh, PA. He spent several years as a proofreader at Connecticut Printers, then worked as a benefits administrator for fifteen years at Cigna in Bloomfield, CT, from which he retired.  Mr. Warner is survived by his wife, Louisa M. Avery-Warner, and by Carolyn Warner, his daughter by a previous marriage. He was predeceased by Carolyn’s twin, Kathryn, and by his sister, Elizabeth Carey.
