Elizabeth “Betty” G. Avezzie (nee Gill) passed away peacefully at home on December 12, 2017, at age 98, she was born June, 14, 1919 in Middlebury, VT and lived most of her life in Agawam and Westfield, MA. She was predeceased by her former husband Charles R. Avezzie, as well as her sister Daphne Coburn, and brothers Collis and Harland Gill. She was a homemaker and a nurse, and she loved the adventure of traveling and trying new and exciting things, she had even once tried riding on an ATV, and also rode in her son Harland’s WWII open cockpit airplane in her younger days. She leaves four children, Harland C. Avezzie of Westfield, MA, Margaret Jedziniak of Granby, MA, Collis Avezzie of Granby, MA, and Mary J. Pouliot and husband Dean of Westfield, MA, and their spouses and families. She leaves 8 grandchildren Kerry, Harley, Justin, Dean JR, Dave “D.J.”, Christine, Ryan, and Avery, and she leaves 11 great grandchildren, Adam, Hayden, Logan, Mia, Page, Seth, Kyla, Kyle, Max, Paige, and John, along with nieces and nephews.
