Ellin Miriam (Ross) Pothier

Ellin Miriam Pothier, 79, passed away peacefully December 17th.  Ellin was born September 5, 1939 in Springfield , daughter to the late Francis and Alice Ross.  She called Westfield her home for over 56 years.  She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, and was one of the original members of the choir.  She had a love of Mickey Mouse and enjoyed many trips to Disney World.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years Leon Pothier in 2012.  Ellin is survived by her children Michael Pothier and his wife Kelli of Westfield, Daniel Pothier of Charlestown, SC, Patrick Pothier and his wife Kelly of Chaplin, CT and Mary-Ellin Brooks and her husband Carlton of Albuquerque, New Mexico.   She was the cherished Grandma to Madeleine, Audrey-Ann, Mitchell, Andrew, Ryan, and Stephanie and she was the caring sister to Alice Ross and James Ross.   Friends and family are asked to meet at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, 127 Holyoke Road in Westfield, December 27th at 10AM for a Liturgy of Christian Burial, with a burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westfield.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ellin’s memory to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, 127 Holyoke Road, Westfield, MA 01085.  Please visit www.westfieldfuneralhome.com for Ellin’s memorial page.
