Henrique "Henry" S. Placido

 Henrique “Henry” S. Placido, 67, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on July 12, 2019 from complications from a motor vehicle accident.   Henry was born in Obidos, Port ugal, on February 24, 1952 to the late Joaquim and Adelaide Placido.  Henry moved to the United States in 1976, after exchanging letters to his pen pal, his future wife.  He fell in love and married Deborah J. (Williams) Placido, and were blessed with 42 years of marriage.  Together they had one child, Melody.  Henry was a very passionate and energetic man who was always on the go.  He loved spending time in the garden, with his family or playing cards with his buddies at the Portuguese club in Chicopee.  He was happiest when spending time with his granddaughters Ellie and Samantha.  Henry is survived by his beloved wife Deborah, his daughter Melody Serrano and her husband Sergio, his cherished grand daughters Ellie and Samantha, and his brothers Alfredo, Julio, and Antonio.  Per the request of Henry, there will be no services, and the family will honor those wishes.  Please visit www.westfieldfuneralhome.com for Henry’s tribute page.
