June B. (Major) Lemelin

June B. Lemelin, 71, passed away Tuesday surrounded by her beloved family.  June was born July 5, 1946 in Amherst, to the late Leonard and Shirley(Goodyear) Major.  June grew up in Chicopee and was a graduate of Chicopee Comp High School.  She worked for Spaulding Golf, as a payroll supervisor for over 25 years before she retired.  June supported many humane societies, she had a love for animals especially dogs, cats, horses and her goat Sophie.  She enjoyed tending to her gardens and flowers.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband Leo Lemelin in 2015. She is survived by her children Peter Lemelin of Ludlow and Michele Smith and her husband Paul of Granville, and her sister Linda Major of Westbrook, CT.  She was the cherished grandmother to Jaclyn Lemelin and Peter Lemelin Jr., and great grandmother to Jayven Lemelin, Justyn Lemelin and Jaxson Lemelin.  Calling hours for June will be Tuesday, May 15th from 11:00am - 12:00 pm, at WESTFIELD FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, 4 Princeton Street in Westfield, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 12:00pm.
