Robert A. Daniels

Robert A. Daniels, 86, passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospital on Wednesday, September 26, 2018.  He was born June 13, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Alvin and Charlotte(Cameron) Daniels. Robert was a proud 4th Degree Knight of Columbus of the council 4726.  He enjoyed fresh and salt water fishing often, with family and friends.  He was an avid bowler, maintained a good average and proudly wore his 300 ring and jacket for his perfect game. He was also a certified youth bowling coach for many years.   
Robert enjoyed retirement in Winterhaven, FL for over 18 years and returned back to Massachusetts, to be near his family. 
He is survived by his bride of 60 years, Audrey (Knapp) Daniels, his children; Irene Shedd and her husband Geoffrey  of Chester , Ellen Daniels Vidal and her Husband Jesse of Russell and Robert Daniels and his wife Alysia of Russell.  He was the cherished grandpa to Jennifer, Linda, Alyssa, Joey, Brandon and Matthew and great grandfather to Lexi, Taylor, Sean, Kylee, Lily, Makayli, and Sophia.  Robert was predeceased by his grand daughter Victoria Shedd, his brother Roy Daniels and his sister Lucille Daniels.  
A funeral mass will be celebrated, October 13th at 11:00am at Holy Family Parish, 5 Main Street in Russell, with burial at St Thomas Cemetery Huntington, followed by a reception at Holy Family Parish Hall, Russell.  Westfield Funeral Home has been entrusted with these arrangements.  Please visit www.westfieldfuneralhome.com for Robert’s memorial page.
