Alfred “Bud” E. Moylan Jr, 81, passed away Friday after a courageous battle against Mesothelioma at home surrounded by his beloved family. Bud was born, April 17, 1936 in Hartford, CT to the late Alfred and Rose (Fazioli) Moylan. He worked as a steamfitter for many years before he retired. Bud was an avid fisherman, enjoyed riding his Harley and recondition antique cars with his sons. He was blessed to have a trip to Disney World in January with his large Moylan family. Becket was the heart of the Moylan family where they built their home and had many cherished memories. Bud is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Joan (Tosto) Moylan, and his son Michael Moylan and his wife Carla, Kevin Moylan, Christopher Moylan and his wife Nicole, and David Moylan and his wife Debbie and his sisters Phyllis Starkie and Carol Dunne. He was the cherished“Poppie” of 11 grand children and 6 great grandchildren. Bud was predeceased by his sister Rosemary Brock and a great grandson Skyler Lafogg. Calling hours will be Sunday, February 25 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM, Westfield Funeral Home and Cremation, 4 Princeton Street in Westfield, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 3:00PM. Burial will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bud’s name to Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation, 641 S Street NW, Washington, DC 2000.
