Archie C. Narreau

Chester - Archie C. Narreau, 87, passed away July 7, 2020 at home in Chester.  Archie was born on October 24, 1932, son to the late Samuel and and Virginia (Ducharme) Narreau.  Archie was a born and raised in Springfield, and worked for Eastern Container Corporation for over 35 years before retirement. He enjoyed many trips to Hampton Beach, watching the Red Sox, and fishing.  Archie was a communicant of St. Catherine’s of Sienna in Springfield. Archie is survived by his niece and care taker Dian Petersante, her daughter USAFR Major Martha Schmidt and her husband LT. COL Timothy Schmidt.  He was the cherished great-grand-uncle to Gunnar Schmidt. He will be dearly missed by sister-in-law Evelyn Narreau, special friends Judy and Paul Young, several nieces and nephews. Archie was predeceased by his 12 siblings.  Calling hours for Archie will be Monday, July 13, 2020 from 4:00PM-7:00PM at WESTFIELD FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, 4 Princeton Street in Westfield.  A private Liturgy of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Family Parish in Russell and a burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery in Huntington.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Archie’s memory to the Shriner’s Hospital, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01151, or St. Jude’s Hospital.  Please visit www.westfieldfuneralhome.com for Archie’s tribute page.
