Betsy Anita (Conlon) Gemme

Betsy Anita Gemme, 62, was a caring spouse, mother, grandmother, and friend. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 14, 2021. Born June 28, 1958 in Springfield, MA to the late Lawrence and Dorothy Conlon, Betsy was raised in Monson and ultimately settled in the Hilltowns where she raised her four children. She enjoyed time with her dog Lily and cat Baxter, fly fishing, playing cribbage, and listening to John Denver, but most of all she loved being with her family, especially at Lake Sunapee, NH. Betsy is survived by her beloved partner of 25 years, Noble Hadley, her children Jennifer Lagoy and husband Christopher, Matthew Wainscott and wife Kelli, Seth Gemme and wife Chelsie, and Sarah Gogulski and husband Andrew. She also leaves behind her former husband and friend Richard Gemme. She was the cherished grandmother to Morgan, Madison, Max, Jacob, Emily, Kayden, Wyatt, Harlow, and Autumn. Betsy is survived by her brothers Peter and wife Polly, David and wife Kathy, Billy, and was predeceased by her brothers Gregory and Edwin Joseph. Betsy’s life will be celebrated during a private family service on Thursday, January 21 at Westfield Funeral Home and Cremation.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Hilltown Community Ambulance Association, please visit www.westfieldfuneralhome.com for her memorial page.
