CHRISTINE BLANCHE (BARKYOUMB) QUINONES

WESTFIELD – Christine Blanche (Barkyoumb) Quinones, 74, a lifelong resident of Westfield, MA, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.  Christine was surrounded by the love of her devoted family at the time of her passing.

Christine was born in Springfield, MA, on December 12, 1950, to Augustus (Gus) Barkyoumb and Rose (Blanche) (Girard) Barkyoumb.

Christine attended St. Mary’s High School and was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Parish.

She had worked for 25 years at Kmart.

Christine was a devoted mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed baking with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and hosting weekly Family Sunday Dinners. She was an avid fan of all New England Sports teams, especially the Patriots.  Christine enjoyed shopping; it always put her in a happy place.  She also enjoyed decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas and Halloween!

Christine is predeceased by her parents, Augustus and Rose Barkyoumb, 2 brothers, Bobby Barkyoumb and Rene Barkyoumb, and her sister Roseanne Prouty and her husband John.

She is survived by her husband Sniter Quinones of Springfield, MA, her son Greg Quinones of Westfield, MA, her daughters: Gina Quinones and her partner Matt Gleason of Southwick, MA, Tina Quinones of Westfield, MA, and Yvonne Golas and her husband Robert of Russell, MA, her brothers: Paul Barkyoumb and his wife Pam of West Springfield, MA, Norman Barkyoumb and his wife Martha of Alabama, Raymond Barkyoumb and his wife Dawn of Westfield, MA, and John Barkyoumb and his wife Elaine of West Springfield, MA, her sister Yvette Hawkins and her husband Ed of Southwick, MA, 17 grandchildren: Shane, Cory, Austin, Hannah, Nicholis, Autumn, Jazmin, Chaya, Brooke, Mason, Jonah, Emerson, Julian, King,  Wynter, Athena, and Zoey, her cousin and best friend Phyliss Bronson and her husband Robert of Westfield, MA, along with many other family members and friends. 

All are invited to gather for a period of visitation from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Westfield Funeral Home, 4 Princeton St, Westfield, MA 01085.  A Mass will be held at 10:00 AM  on Saturday, November 22, 2025,  at St. Mary’s Parish, 30 Bartlett St, Westfield, MA 01085.  A celebration of life with food, drinks, fun, and memories will be held at the Sons of Erin, 22 William St, Westfield, MA, immediately following the Mass.  A private burial will be held at a later date.
