Catherine Mary (McNamee) Tobias

Westfield - Our beloved wife and mother Catherine Mary (McNamee) Tobias, 82, passed away Tuesday April 3, 2018 at Noble Hospital.  Catherine was born in Springfield on December 25, 1935 to the late Leon and Catherine (Malochleb) McNamee.  She was a life long resident of Westfield and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1953.  She was devoted to her faith, her church, and her family.  She loved flowers and gardening, cooking and baking, and going for rides and day trips.  She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Joseph E. Tobias and her sons to cherish her memory Martin Tobias and Gary Tobias, both at home.  She was predeceased by her son Thomas A. Tobias and her sisters, Maureen J. McNamee and DeAnna T. Porter.  A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, April 10 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 30 Bartlett Street, Westfield, with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westfield.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Catherine’s memory to the Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, PO Box 167, Youngstown, NY, 14174.
