Charles “Charlie” S. Diemer Sr., 63, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 18th at Baystate Medical Center. Charlie was born March 3, 1956 in Westfield, son to Henry R. And May (Miller) Diemer. Charlie grew up in Huntington and made it his home. He worked at Tell Tool in Westfield for over 41 years before he retired. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go hunting, ice fishing, and camping. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and his John Deere tractors. Charlie is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years Laurie Diemer of Huntington, his son Charles Jr., and his wife Amy of West Springfield, and his mother May Diemer of Huntington. He was the cherished Pappa to Alexis Diemer, who he loved and adored so very much. He will be dearly missed by his brother Henry Diemer and his wife Diane, his sisters Louise Raymond and her husband Michael, Donna Jordan, his best friend John Knox, many nieces, nephews and to all who knew him. Charlie was predeceased by his father Henry Diemer. Calling hours for Charlie will be Friday from 10:00AM - 1:00PM at WESTFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 4 Princeton Street in Westfield. A service will follow at 1:00PM. A burial will be private for the family.
