DENNIS W. BACON

Dennis W. Bacon, 68, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022.  Dennis was born on May 7th, 1953, in Billerica Mass.

He is a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather ”Papa”.

He is survived by his daughter Jamie E. Bacon, his grandson Gavin Lund, one sister, and 2 brothers. 

At the age of 18, he met and married the love of his life, Mina A Bacon (Elkin), who also passed away just over a year ago.  His love for her was still so strong, all the way up till he got sick. He would put his hand on her cremation box at lunchtime during the weekday and would read her the stock prices as he did while they sat together watching the news at noon when she was alive.

He was a beer guy and most knew him by his blogger name, Dwayne Glasscock of BaddAssBeers on many of the social media platforms. 

He has left an imprint on each person he met, whether they chatted or just overheard one of his comments or a story.  He was a force of nature but in his own quiet sort of way.

He joined the Army but shortly after was medically discharged due to a heart murmur. He worked in machine shops for most of his life and was a foreman for 20 years. He was a Mason and in the Order of Eastern Star.  He also was on the board of the Rainbow Girls while his daughter was a member.  He loved fishing and hunting throughout his life and shared his passion with his daughter and then she with her son.

There will be no traditional services.  The family will hold a celebration of life for both Dennis & Mina Bacon in the future.
