David Paul LaFrance

Westfield – David P. LaFrance, 53, passed away unexpectedly May 24, 2017.  David was born June 22, 1963 in Westfield to Richard and Betty LaFrance.  From a boy who grew up riding bikes in the summer, to sledding, ice skating and playing at the Lake Congamond.    He grew into a man who looked forward to camping trips, picnics, music on the Green, and the Big E.  David had a real connection with nature, finding real happiness in the outdoors. He was a longtime volunteer and participant at the Forum House in Westfield.  He enjoyed helping to care for the plants, table settings and making a community for himself and others. He worked a Sonicron in Westfield for over 12 years.  He is survived by his father Richard LaFrance of Whatley, his brother Mark LaFrance and his wife Lynn of Southwick, his brother and best friend James LaFrance of Whatley, and his sister Michaele Lopez and her husband Ismael of West Springfield.  He will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews; Kaleena Burke and her husband Bob, Justin LaFrance and his wife Crystal, Michael LaFrance, Jacalin LaFrance, Amadeus LaFrance, Samantha LaFrance, and his great nieces and nephews Paytyn, Gavin, and Aiden. He was predeceased by his mother Betty LaFrance. There will be calling hours Tuesday, May 30th from 6-8PM, at WESTFIELD FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, 4 Princeton Street, Westfield followed by a Funeral Home Service at 8PM. Burial will be at the at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Forum House, 55 Broad Street, Westfield, MA 01085.
