Westfield - Our beloved mother and Nana passed away peacefully Sunday at home, surrounded by her family.  Donna was born in Weymouth, MA on October 30, 1946 to the late Robert A. and Edith M. (Russo) Newell.  She was raised in Weymouth and later moved to Westfield in 1993.  She worked at Kmart for over 10 years before she later retired.  Her world revolved around her grandchildren.  She loved to cook, bake, sewing and crocheting.  She enjoyed camping with her family at Shady Acres, NH, and in Plymouth.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward McCabe in 2016, her son Kenneth McCabe in 2011, and her siblings Rita, Carol, Paul, Randy, David, and her her best friend and Sister-in-law Mal.  She is survived by her loving children Eddie McCabe Jr, Martin McCabe, and Kevin Brown.  She was the caring sister to Barbara, Betty, “ Edith Squikie,” and Butchy.  She will be dearly missed by her cherished grandchildren Melissa, Eric, Christopher, Rj, Michael, Maximus, Amber, Jack, Allyssa, her great grand daughter Alxe, by Demon her dog, and to Karen Hoiberg.  There will be a private burial at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street in Agawam.  Please visit www.westfieldfuneralhome.com for Donna’s memorial page .
