I am very saddened for your loss and very sad that I did not get to see Ed before he passed. He was my good friend. We worked at Fairfax Hospital together and had much in common related to spirituality, philosophy, recovery. Unfortunately, Ed and I had a falling out of sorts, a conflict really, in 2012. We never resumed contact though I called a few times to bridge the gap but it never happened. I'm saddened that he never got to meet my daughter who was born around this time. He came to my wedding earlier that year in 2012 and I was looking forward to spending more time with him. I wish his family the best and hope that his passing was peaceful and profound.

I went to school in Detroit Michigan with Ed. A Catholic grade school name IHM, Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our neighborhood was rapidly changing, so around 4th grade he moved to Florida. I’ll never forget being at his 9th or 10th Birthday party. We stayed in touch with letters and his occasional trips back to Michigan. I even have a picture of us swimming in my pool. We stayed in touch until the end of High School. I often think of the fun times we shared together. It sounds like he had many adventures in his life. Anyone that knew him was blessed. I was always hoping to find Ed and catch up on life. Rest In Peace my friend

Ed was a good friend and a lot of fun. Intelligent, insightful, interesting - he will never be forgotten.
