Edward Proulx Obituary

Edward J. Proulx, long time resident of Westfield, MA passed away on Sunday, July 18th. Ed was born in Manchester, NH in 1947, son of the late Joseph M.R. Proulx and Charlotte (Stebbins) Proulx.  He graduated from Clearfield High School in Utah.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1965-1971.  Ed worked as a property maintenance manager for many years before he retired.  Ed was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and being out in nature.  He loved playing golf and cards in the pitch league at the Italian Fraternal Club.  He truly enjoyed watching the birds and butterflies who came to the feeders and flower gardens outside his windows.  Ed is survived by his wife of 51 years, Donna (Roberts) Proulx and his daughter, Morgan Proulx and her partner Daniel Gagnon, all of Westfield.  He will be missed by his brother, George Proulx and wife Nicole of Jacksonville, FL,  along with aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sister, Pauline Proulx.  A private service will take place for the family.  Burial with full military honors will be at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetary in Agawam, MA.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ed's memory to MassWildlife (Comm. of MA - NHESP), 1 Rabbit Hill Road, Westborough, MA  01581.  To express condolences to the family of Ed, please visit www.westfieldfunderalhome.com
