George H. Johansmeyer Jr., 65, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9th at Hillcrest Commons Nursing Home. George was born on July 6, 1955 in Bronx, NY, son to the late George Sr., and Carol (Johnson) Johansmeyer. George was raised and educated in Ardsley, NY and was a graduate of Ardsley High School He was a graduate of Concordia College with his bachelors degree. George was proud to be a life long member of the Eagle Scout Association, and was a Mason. He enjoyed hiking and camping. George is survived by his brothers Jeffrey Johansmeyer and his wife Mary of Shelburne Falls, Eric Johansmeyer and his wife Diane of Norton, and Michael Johansmeyer of Montague Center. He is the cherished uncle to many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Hillcrest Commons for the kind and compassionate care towards their brother. A private funeral will take place, with a burial at Middlefarms Cemetery in Westfield.
