Hernan De Jesus Ochoa-Montoya, 88, passed away Saturday at Baystate surrounded by his beloved family. Hernan was born in Andes, Colombia to the late Fabricio Ochoa and Rosalina Montoya. Hernan was a devoted husband, father, grandpa and friend. He enjoyed working at his farm in Colombia. He was also a skilled car mechanic and insisted on fixing not only his own cars but also those of all his children. Hernan enjoyed telling jokes and making people laugh. Hernan is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Gabriela Quintero, and his children Carlos Hernan, Rosalina, Milena, Angelica, Fabricio and Juan Jose; grandchildren Michael, Gabriela, Leo and Logan. Calling hours for Hernan will take place, Tuesday, June 18th from 4-7PM at Westfield Funeral Home and Cremation, 4 Princeton Street in Westfield. The funeral for Hernan will be Wednesday at 9:30AM at Westfield Funeral Home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30AM at St. Mary’s Parish, 30 Bartlett Street in Westfield.
