JAMES S LAMB

WESTFIELD – James S Lamb, 74, passed away at his home on October 10, 2024.  At the time of his passing James was surrounded by the devotion and love of his family.   

James was born in Westfield, MA on March 26, 1950, to the late Albert W Lamb and Adeline Star (Furioni) Lamb. 

James proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired from the CSX Railroad as a mechanic.   

In his spare time, James enjoyed NASCAR, golf, hunting, and rooting for his favorite team, the Vikings. He was a member of St. Rocco’s and the Italian Fraternal Club where he enjoyed playing Bocce weekly since his retirement.   

James was a lifetime member of the VFW, VVA #219, and AMVETS #74 and member of American Legion #124. 

In addition to his parents, James is also pre-deceased by his brother William Lamb.  

He is survived by his wife Linda H (Matthieu) Lamb of Westfield, MA, his sons Jeremy Lamb and his wife Sarah of Agawam, MA, and Joshua Lamb and his wife Nicole of Westfield, MA, his daughter Jessica Lamb of Westfield, MA, his grandchildren: Danica, Brock, Eriksen, Alexander, Lorelai, and Jemma; along with many other family members and friends.   

Family and friends will gather for a period of visitation on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Westfield Funeral Home, 4 Princeton St, Westfield, MA 01085. 

A procession will form at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Westfield Funeral Home proceeding to Middle Farms Cemetery, 405 Russellville Rd, Westfield, MA for burial with full military honors at 11:00 AM.
