JENNIFER WOESSNER Obituary

AGAWAM – Jennifer L. Woessner, 60, passed away on Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, at her home in Agawam, MA.

Jennifer was born in Verona, PA on September 22, 1962, to Johnny Brown and Dorothy (Madden) Brown. 

Jennifer graduated from Penn Hills High School Class of 1980. 

Jennifer proudly served 10 years in the United States Air Force.  Most of her service was spent in Germany.  While serving, Jennifer fell in love with German food and culture, especially Oktoberfest.  Jennifer met, proposed to, and married her fellow service member Richard Woessner during her service time In Germany.   They enjoyed traveling and exploring Germany and many other European countries.

Jennifer and Rich settled in Agawam, MA in 2000 where they raised their 2 children Alan and Steven. 

Jennifer had worked for AirTran Airways before joining Delta Air Lines at Bradley International Airport in 1999.  She enjoyed 24 years of airport customer service with Delta. Jennifer was dedicated to customer service and she enjoyed making the travel experience comfortable and stress-free for her passengers.  She earned many recognitions for her service and dedication through the years.  Jennifer and her family are dedicated to Autism awareness.  She was active in many Autism campaigns and fundraisers with Delta Air Lines and beyond.  She collected over $10,000.00 in donations in one month during a fundraiser at Bradley International Airport. 

Jennifer enjoyed working around her house and was quite handy.  She enjoyed skiing, gardening, and knitting.  She will be remembered as a fabulous cook and baker.  Not only did she enjoy sharing her skills with her family she also found great joy in providing birthday cakes, cupcakes, and meals to her co-workers and friends.

Jennifer was a diehard Steelers and Penguins fan.  She and her family enjoyed going to games and supporting her teams from home. 

Jennifer is predeceased by her mother Dorothy (Madden) Brown. 

Survivors include her husband Rich Woessner of Agawam, MA, her sons Alan Woessner and his husband Johnny of Ohio and Steven Woessner of Agawam, MA, her father Johnny Brown of PA, her brothers Jeff Brown and his wife Kris of OH and Dennis Brown of PA, her sisters Janice Brown of PA and Joanne Brady and her husband Michael of OH,    

her mother-in-law Alice Woessner of Athol, MA,  her Delta Air Lines family, along with many other family members and friends.

Family and friends will gather for a period of visitation and celebration from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Westfield Funeral Home and Cremation, 4 Princeton St, Westfield, MA 01085

The funeral will begin from Westfield Funeral Home at 9:00 AM on Thursday, September 28, 2023,  proceeding to the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery 1390 Main St. Agawam, MA 01001 for a 10:00 AM Committal Service with full military honors.
