Juan Carlos Aguiar, 62, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Baystate Medical Center following a brief illness.
Juan was born on February 25, 1964, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to the late Luis Armel Aguiar, Sr. and Aida Irene Villamil. In 1983, he graduated from Santa Verde, Puerto Rico, and continued on to study Business Administration at Sagrado Corazon in Santurce, Puerto Rico.
In 1991 Juan moved to Massachusetts, where he worked as a vocational trainer at Work Opportunity Center for 12 years. In 2006, he attained his CDL and worked for various trucking companies over the past 20 years. Most recently he drove with Schneider National.
Juan enjoyed photography. He photographed for his high school yearbook and captured many special family moments from reunions to weddings over the years. He was a novice blacksmith and knife maker, he enjoyed grilling and being out in nature, and was an avid watcher of CNN.
In addition to his parents, Juan was predeceased by his wife, Lisa M. (Pequita) Aguiar, and his brother Luis Aguiar, Jr.
He is survived by his son, Noah Aguiar; his sisters, Maria Aguiar and Beatriz Aguirres and her husband, Nelson; his mother-in-law, Leona Pike and her husband, Harry; and his sisters-in-law, Sarah Fisher and her husband, Dan, and Leanne Clark and her husband, Aaron, and his beloved Basset Hound, Elvis, all of Westfield, MA.
He also leaves behind his nephews, Jan Aguirres, Nelson Aguirres Jr., and Leonardo Santiago; his nieces, Francheska Aguirres, Gaby Santiago, and Chloe Fisher; his great-nephews, Gabriel Mahue and Christian Mahue; and his great-nieces, Sophia Solla and Camila Mahue, all of Westfield, MA.
He will be deeply missed by his many other dear friends and extended family members.
