Joan R. Homon, 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2020. Joan was born in Holyoke on December 5, 1937, daughter to the late Roland and Alice(Fournier) Roy. Joan was a life long resident of Chicopee and was a graduate of the Chicopee High School, Class of 1955. She worked for Westover AFB as a supply clerk for over 20 years and later opened a flower shop called Flowers Plus, working along side her daughter for many years. She volunteered at the Chicopee City Hall and worked the elections. She was the Vice President of the Police Wives Club. She enjoyed painting, knitting, crocheting, and enjoyed crafts. She was an avid animal lover. She is survived by her children Lee White and her husband James of Westfield, and Robert Homon Jr. of Longmeadow. She was the cherished Grandmother to Stefanie Thebodo and her husband Ben, Katie Bagley and her husband Nate, Amanda Guyette, Evan Homon, Ethan Homon, Eli Homon, Emery Homon, and great grandmother to Caleb, Savannah, Christopher, Dylan, Zachary, Austin, and Chase. She will be dearly missed by her special friends Sunshine, Mary and to all who knew her. She is predeceased by her husband Robert Homon. Calling hours for Joan will be Sunday, August 2nd from 1:00PM - 4:00PM, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 4PM at Westfield Funeral Home and Cremation, 4 Princeton Street in Westfield. A private burial will take place at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
