LINDA C PIERGIOVANNI

CHESTER - Linda Piergiovanni, 90, of Chester, Massachusetts died peacefully on June 2, 2024, at the Vantage Health & Rehab of Westfield. She was born in her family home in Chester on September 1, 1933, to Antonio and Maria (Mastrippolito) Piergiovanni. Linda was a 1951 graduate of Chester High School and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in education from The Westfield Normal School now Westfield State University. She went on to further her education with numerous graduate degrees in education and psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Springfield College, and American International College. Learning was a passion for Linda throughout her life. She spent her entire career within the Springfield School system in various positions including her final role as a school psychologist.

Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and traveled frequently throughout her life. She is predeceased by nine siblings, Rosina, Louisa, Dominica, Dalfina, Mary, Anna, Lucia, Dominic, and Antonio, and a great-nephew Thomas Napierski.  She leaves behind her sister-in-law Fay Piergiovanni, five nieces, Mary Brauer (Bill) of San Diego, California, Catherine Napierski (John) of New Britain, Connecticut, Linda Breault (John) of New Britain, Connecticut, Tina Howe (Bill) of Blandford, Massachusetts and Lisa Ciejka (Gerry) of Westfield, Massachusetts, four great nieces, six great nephews and her lifelong college friend Ellen Onofrey.

Per Linda’s request, all services will remain private to be at the convenience of the family members.
