Leo J. Blake Jr., 72, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. Leo was born on April 25, 1949 in Westfield, son to the late Leo and Charlotte (Moore) Blake Sr. He was raised and educated in Russell, a graduate of Gateway Regional High School, Class of 1968. He worked for many years at Old Colony Envelope before his retirement. Leo was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid reader who enjoyed reading about United States History and military aircraft. Leo cherished his mother and he always said, “she made my life good,” and that his mother was a wonderful lady with great inner strength. After his mothers death, Leo became a member of the Berry family, John, Linda, Kasie and Johnny. He enjoyed many years of holiday meals, lots of laughter and many stories of fishing and hunting adventures. He is survived by his long life friends John and Linda Berry, his cousins John Blake of FL, Cynthia Siermienski of West Springfield, Betty Warren of Westfield, William Blake of Hawaii, and his nephew Francois Mondoux of GA. He was predeceased by his parents Leo and Charlotte Blake Sr., and his sister Laura Blake Mondoux. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service will take place on Friday, June 25th at 10:00AM at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westfield.
