MARILYN A (MCEWAN) MCDANIEL

WESTFIELD – Marilyn A. McDaniel, 83, a lifelong resident of Westfield, MA passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. 

Marilyn was born on June 2, 1940, in Westfield, MA to the late Wallace D McEwan and Marguerite L (Cook) McEwan.

Marilyn graduated from Westfield High School in June of 1958, and in that same year, married her husband Russell. She spent 25 enjoyable years working for Steiger’s until its closing.  She then worked at Bon-Ton until her retirement.

Marilyn enjoyed painting, drawing, gardening, and decorating her home.  She loved collecting crows and clocks, tag sales, reading, and walking the beaches of Cape Cod. 

But her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was also predeceased by her husband Russell McDaniel, her brothers Paul McEwan and Carl McEwan, her sister Jean Pilgrim, and her son-in-law Gary Jasmin. 

She will be missed by her 5 daughters: Brenda Callaghan (Justin) of Westfield, MA, Peggy Goralczyk (Jerry) of Montgomery, MA, Kimberly Poulin (Mark) of Westfield, MA, Shelley Jasmin (Glenn) of Westfield, MA, and Kristin Cichaski (David,#1 Son in Law) of Westfield, MA; her 6 cherished grandchildren: Eric Poulin (Rochelle), Alex Goralczyk (Brittany), Gabrielle Goralczyk, Hayden Jasmin (Katie), Tristan and Devin Callaghan and their dad Ned.  As well as many other family members and friends.
