MARK JAMES ALDERSON

WESTFIELD - Surrounded by his loving family, Mark J. Alderson, of Westfield, Massachusetts, passed away on November 4th, 2025, at Baystate Hospital in Springfield.

Born May 15th, 1964, in Hampshire, England, Mark was the son of the late James Alderson, and Iris Alderson of Westfield. 

Mark attended local schools and loved life, people, music, and hiking.  He was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, and for many years played in the church’s Folk Group. His love of music. and the outdoors was in his soul.   

Apart from his music, Mark loved travelling and travelled to almost every state in the United States. He spent more than thirty years in Seattle, working on construction and playing his music.

Mark leaves behind his loving family, mom Iris, sister, Bernadette Marie Parker,  son, Brendan Callahan, daughter, Alisha Alderson, granddaughter Paige Callahan, nephews, Julian deceased, Ben and Brian Parker, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins in the U.K, New Jersey and New York.

He is lovingly remembered and will be sadly missed.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a period of visitation from 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Westfield Funeral Home, 4 Princeton St, Westfield, MA 01085, followed by a funeral home service at 5:30 PM
