MICHAEL ALLEN DESJARDINS

FITCHBURG - Michael “Mike” Alan Desjardins 64, of Fitchburg, MA sadly passed away on December 2, 2022, in a tragic hunting accident.

Mike was born on May 28, 1958, to Francis “Frenchie” Desjardins and Patricia Holland (Sargent) in Leominster, MA. Mike worked for A&A Steel in Bondsville erecting steel gas station canopies for many years, then at Riverside Village Apartments in Leominster as a Superintendent Manager.

Mike met his wife in 2004 and married in 2009. In 2020, Mike retired and spent his time gardening with his wife and enjoying being at home. Mike enjoyed fishing and hunting. He spent many hours with his son and daughter fishing in Ashby when they were younger and spent a week every year with his best friend of over 4 decades, Paul Benard of Bondsville, MA, hunting.

Mike was predeceased by his brother Harry Holland, Jr (1987), and his father Francis Desjardins (2005). He is survived by his wife Brenda Desjardins (Caron), Mother Patricia Holland, daughter Nicole Leger (Joseph), son Derek Desjardins, brothers Joseph Desjardins and Corey Holland, and sister Cassandra Desjardins. Mike also leaves behind half-brothers and sisters that reside in South Carolina and a handful of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will take place in the spring.
