WESTFIELD - Michael P. Lingaitis, passed away on December 27, 2023, after a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his father, Peter J. Lingaitis, mother, Dolores M. (Walkowski) Lingaitis and brother-in-law, John A. Spaid. He is survived by his sister, Karen (Lingaitis) Spaid of Virginia, and longtime friend, Lynn.
Michael was extremely proud of his Lithuanian Heritage and he loved the City of Westfield. Throughout the years, he enjoyed all types of outdoor sports and activities, he especially enjoyed golf and ice fishing to name a few. Michaels's love of the outdoors extended to the jobs he worked throughout the years.
Michael had many friends both young and old, he enjoyed going to the Big Y to share jokes and bring laughter to all the workers he befriended. This brought joy to them, and to him in return.
He will be sadly missed by family and friends alike. In honor of Michael, a celebration of life will be planned at a later date within the new year.
