Margaret Hill, 63, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. Margaret was born on September 14, 1956 in Greensboro, Georgia, daughter to the late George and Elizabeth (Thomas) Peaks. She was raised and educated in Greensboro and was a graduate from Greene County High School. She later moved to Westfield, MA in 1975. Margaret was employed as an inspector for Old Colony Envelope for over 20 years before her retirement. She liked to play Bingo and to go to Foxwoods with her husband on special occasions. She enjoyed watching game shows with her husband. Margaret and her son regularly watched the Voice and Big Brother, and she enjoyed exchanging texts with him while they were on. She enjoyed watching good old horror movies like Halloween and Friday the 13th, which left a lasting impression on her daughter. One of her favorite pastimes was shopping. Margaret and her daughter were regulars at the local Mall and enjoyed Black Friday shopping together every year. She was a great athlete and played basketball. She loved going to Martha’s Vineyard with her family. Family was her main priority. She gave everything she had to make her family strong. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She made regular trips to Framingham, MA to braid her granddaughters’ hair. Folks would marvel at the beautiful styles she would create. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Charles Hill Sr., of Westfield; her beloved children Regina “Gina” Marshall and her husband John R. Marshall III “ Jay” of Framingham, MA, and her son Charles “CJ” Hill Jr. of Philadelphia, PA. She was the adored and cherished “Gaga” to Jasmin, Jayla and John R. Marshall IV “Jordan”. Margaret will be dearly missed by her brother George Peaks Sr., her sister Roberteen Peaks Harvey, several nieces, nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews, friends and to all who knew her. She was predeceased by her siblings William N. Peaks, Eva Mae Alexander, and Vernell Smith. The funeral for Margaret will be private for the family.
