NANCY LUCILLE (HUMASON) STONE

WESTFIELD - Nancy Lucille Stone, 81, of Westfield, MA, died early in the morning on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, after a long battle with cancer.  Nancy was born on October 15, 1943, to Edward and Edna (LaFogg) Humason.  She lived her entire life in Westfield.

Nancy was predeceased by her husband Durwood (1943-2022) and is survived by her sister Darlene Biggs; brother Donald Humason; her son Timothy Stone (Heather); daughter Sherri Gelina (Roland Dion); grandsons Mark Gelina and Cameron Gaj; granddaughters Caylin, Katiann, and Emily Stone; and great-grandson Braiden Gelina.

Nancy was known for her creativity, sense of humor, and for being fiercely independent and stubborn.  She loved the outdoors, especially gardening, picnics, and decorating for Christmas.

Nancy enjoyed her grandchildren, who at one time could be found swimming in her pool nearly every day during the summers.

A private memorial service will be held sometime in the future. Memorial contributions can be given to Chester Baptist Church, 14 Middlefield Road, Chester, MA 01011
