Westfield – Olive James, 95, passed away peacefully Sunday at home. Olive was born in Medford, daughter to Raoul and Rhea (Bertrand) DeGrandpre. Olive called Westfield her home after moving here in 1950. She worked for Sears for over 25 years before she retired. Olive was predeceased by her beloved husband John James in 1997, her son Raymond James in 2010, and her brother Eugene, and sisters Therese and Lucilla and her son-in-law Dick Harrelson. She is survived by her loving daughter Suzan Harrelson of Westfield. She is the cherished grandmother to William James, Elizabeth James, Michael James, John Harrelson, and James Harrelson. She is the adored great grandmother to Jeff James and his wife Julie, Jacob Harrelson, Nickolas Harrelson, Alexi Harrelson, Sophie Harrelson, and great great grandmother to Mason James. The funeral for Olive will be private with a burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Olive’s name to charity of your choice.
