PAUL LEE SLEEPER

SOUTHWICK – Paul Lee Sleeper, 80, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025,  at his home in Southwick, MA.

Paul was born on September 1, 1945, in Springfield, MA, to the late Dean C. Sleeper, Sr. and Doris (Provost) Sleeper.

Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1965 to 1969, and worked for the Town of Southwick Department of Public Works.  Most recently, he also worked as a technician at Atlas Fireworks. 

In his spare time, Paul enjoyed spending time in nature, fishing, watching for bluebirds, and hopefully spotting one sitting in an oak tree.  Paul also enjoyed displaying firework shows with his friends at Atlas Fireworks.

In addition to his parents, Paul is also predeceased by his brother Donald Sleeper, his sister Joan Messenger and her husband Douglas, his sister-in-law Dorothy Sleeper, and his life partner Polly Cunningham.

Paul is survived by his brother Dean Sleeper of Granville, MA, his sisters: Alice Orsucci and her husband Joseph of Feeding Hills, MA, Georgianna Segarra and her husband David of Pt. Charlotte, FL, Robyn Johnson and her husband David of Westfield, MA, Maggie Sleeper of Burlington, CT, and Melinda Wingate and her husband Stephen of Southwick, MA, along with many other family members and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a period of visitation on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Westfield-Avalon Funeral Home, 4 Princeton St, Westfield, MA, from 5:00 pm to 6:45 PM followed by a time of prayer and remembrance.
