PHILIP "BUD" J MCCARTHY

RUSSELL – Bud McCarthy, 65, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. 

Bud was born on October 4, 1959, in Springfield, MA  to the late Philip McCarthy Sr and Mary (Mutti) McCarthy.

Bud’s friendly and approachable spirit shined for all who met him.  He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and mechanic.  Bud built, repaired, and restored countless bikes over the years and made many lifelong friends along the way.

Bud leaves his wife Dawn Mitchell of Russell, MA, his children, Philip, Katie, and Karrie, many grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends. 

All services for Bud will be private.  End of life arrangements entrusted to Westfield – Avalon Funeral Home, 4 Princeton St, Westfield, MA 01085
