ROBERT PAQUETTE Obituary

WESTFIELD – Robert Joseph Paquette, 75, passed away on November 13, 2024, at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, MA.

Robert was born on November 12, 1949, in Holyoke, MA to the late Homer Paquette and Lillian Marie (Monks) Paquette.

Robert graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive Class of 1967 and later earned his LPN certification. 

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1971earning a National Defense Medal. 

Robert retired from the Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke where he had worked as a nurse for 30+ years.  After his retirement, he continued working in home care and later at the Loomis House. 

Robert was a talented artist, he enjoyed working with watercolors, acrylic, and pen and ink.  He was a current member of Agawam Community Artist and Artisans, and Artworks Westfield.  Roberts was also a past member of the Amherst Railway Society. 

Survivors include his wife Karen D Mayer of Westfield, MA, his brothers Ronald Paquette of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Gerald Paquette and his wife Lynn of Chicopee, MA, his sister Shirley LaPierre and her husband Duke of Chicopee, MA, his step-daughter Kerry-Ann Quinn and her husband Michael of South Hadley, MA, his step-sons Joseph Mayer and his fiancé Debra Galiano of Springfield, MA and Brian Mayer and his wife Stefanie of South Hadley, MA, along with many other family members and friends.
