WESTFIELD – Roy Wilfred Lemire, 96, a lifelong Westfield resident, passed away on Friday, 21 November 2025, at Baystate Noble Hospital in Westfield, MA
Roy was born on April 2, 1929, in Westfield, MA, to the late Wilfred Lemire and Nelli (Gately) Lemire.
Roy attended Westfield High School and proudly served his country in the Air National Guard of Massachusetts.
Roy was a well-known carpenter in the area, a trade he spent his entire life perfecting. He had a great love for animals and people and was a lifelong aircraft enthusiast.
In addition to his parents, Roy is also predeceased by his son Cary Bedor.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lemire of Westfield, MA, Theresa Brownlee and her husband Richard of Westfield, MA, Mary-Jo Bedor of Northampton, MA, and Theresa Midus of CT, along with many other family members and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 830 AM – 1030 AM at Westfield Funeral Home, 4 Princeton St, Westfield, MA 01085, proceeding to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church for an 1100 AM Mass.
Burial will be held a later date.
