It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob who passed away June 17th at home surrounded by the people he loved the most. Born in Springfield, he spent his elementary school years in West Springfield, but his more formative school years and the majority of his childhood were spent in Sixteen Acres, Springfield, where he met and developed lifelong friendships. In addition to his many friends, he leaves behind his daughter, Sara Tess Kingsland, 2 sisters; Cheryl Coakley of Chicopee, and Bonnie Hershowitz of West Springfield, 2 nieces, a nephew and his 24/7 canine companion, Joe. Bob lived life his way and with no restraints: a life that books are made of. Japan, Thailand, Alaska, Idaho, Rhode Island, are just some of the places that he would later call home. His many adventures enriched his life and those around him - a life that would make others envious. He had a great heart and soul and was willing to offer assistance to anyone in need. Those who knew him were proud to call him a friend or family member. Rest is peace Bob. You will be forever remembered for your vivacious presence. There will be a private funeral for Bob.
