SIMONE ELAINE PARENT

WESTFIELD – Simone E. Parent, 82, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Baystate Noble Hospital in Westfield, MA

Simone was born on August 26, 1943, in Chicopee, MA, to William H. Parent and Evelyn B. (Pratt) Parent.

Simone graduated from Chicopee High School.  She proudly served her country in the U.S. Air Force Reserve  74th Air Evacuation Squadron.  While serving, she trained as a medical technician at Pease Air Force Base and Westover Air Force Base.  Simone worked for many years in the Springfield and Holyoke areas as a home health aide and residential specialist.

Simone is predeceased by her parents, her son Steven M. Kapinos, her brothers: Arthur Parent, Allen Parent, Donald Parent and his wife Maryann, and William Parent, and her sister-in-law Joan Parent.

Survivors include her daughters: Christine Hadley of Monson, MA, Jennifer Day and her husband Robert of Agawam, MA, and Bonnie Trombley and her husband James of Huntington, MA; her brothers George Parent of South Hadley and Francis Parent and his wife Barbara of Chicopee, MA, 7 grandchildren, 12 grandchildren, along with many other family members.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a period of visitation on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 10:00 am – 11:30 am at Westfield Funeral Home, 4 Princeton St, Westfield, MA 01085. A prayer service with military honors will follow.
