Samantha Jolene Martin entered God's Kingdom on November 7th, 2020. Samantha was born in Lawrence, MA on October 11, 1982, daughter to Normand Martin and Loralee (Suomi) Martin.
Sam grew up between Lawrence, Cape Cod, and Salem, N.H., playing in the band and on the football team for a time before graduating from Salem High School. She later lived in north central Mass and southern New Hampshire. She was a lover of music and had an impressively eclectic array of bands and genres she knew well. Especially fond of seafood dishes, Sam loved to cook for those around her and worked many years in the restaurant industry. Well known for her long, beautiful blue hair, she enjoyed art and drawing, writing poetry and lyrics, movies- especially horror movies- and learning new things. Sam had a fascination with life, loved Jesus, and will be missed for her smile, huge heart, enthusiasm, and incredible sense of humor.
Samantha leaves behind her beloved little sisters, Sonia and Salina, her mother, Loralee; Father and stepmother, Normand and Donna; brothers Robert and Wesley; and many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends. Also left behind is her cat, Nino, whom she loved dearly.
A celebration of life is anticipated in the Spring when all can gather for a true "Sam" send off. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your local musical education program.
