Susan Ann (Poleto) Lafreniere

Susan Ann Lafreniere( Poleto) 61, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family on Monday, March 22, 2021.  Susan was born on August 26, 1959, in Holyoke, daughter to the late Joseph A. Poleto Jr. and Mary Lou (Hatton) Poleto. Susan was raised in Westfield and later moved to Granville, to where she worked on her dairy farm for over 15 years and was an EMT for Granville.  Susan loved going on motorcycle road trips and light houses.She enjoyed gardening and her lawn, and proud to own her John Deere Tractor.  She was devoted to her children and grandchildren who were the light of her life. Susan is survived by her loving children Sharon Johnson and her husband Nick Diroma of South Hadley and Jon Lafreniere Jr. and his wife Carrie Cruess of Russell, and the cherished “Grandma Suzie” to Zoe Oddi, Naomi McCaul, Jace Johnson, Dakota McCaul, Brea Johnson, Ave Diroma and Mya Diroma.  She will be dearly missed by her long time companion Brian Cianfarani, many friends and extended family.  Susan was predeceased by her sister Deborah Wheatley, her dog Bear and cat Fluffy.  Calling hours for Susan will be Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 2:00PM~4:00PM at Westfield Funeral Home and Cremation, 4 Princeton Street in Westfield.  A burial will take place in the Spring at West Granville Cemetery.  To express condolences to the family of Susan, please visit www.westfieldfuneralhome.com for Susan’s memorial page.
