WESTFIELD – Thomas Michael Dubiel, 48, passed away on November 25, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.
Details about the service and ways you can support the family are listed at the end of this obituary.
Thomas was born on March 22, 1977, in Springfield, MA, to Thomas J Dubiel and Diane M (Nareau) Dubiel.
Thomas graduated from Gateway Regional Highschool, and pursued further education studying Automotive Technology at Porter and Chester Institute. He worked at Sarat Ford Lincoln as a Shipping/Receiving Manager and spent 8 years working in various positions at Advance Auto Parts.
He was a man of many talents, someone whose curiosity and skill seemed to have no limits. In his spare time, he found joy in perfecting his woodworking. His hands brought warmth and character to every creation he made. He loved spending time outdoors, finding joy in catching fish alongside the many loved ones who enjoyed sharing those quiet, peaceful moments with him. He enjoyed fixing cars and just about any machine that moved. His deep knowledge of machinery was truly unmatched; if something needed fixing, he was the one you could always count on. And at home his kitchen was a place of endless creativity, where familiar dishes took on new life and original recipes came to be.
Thomas was remembered not only for all he accomplished, but for the person he was. A devoted son, a loving brother, a proud father and grandfather, and a loyal friend. He touched countless lives with his kindness, strength, and quiet generosity. In every role he played, he made a lasting impact, offering support, love, and warmth to those fortunate enough to know him.
Thomas leaves behind his beloved children: Jacob Dubiel; Abigail Dubour and her husband, Joseph; Hailey Dubiel; and Bradley Dubiel, as well as his treasured grand-daughter Leila Dubour, all of Westfield, MA. He also leaves his parents, Thomas and Diane Dubiel of Otis, MA; and his sisters, Jennifer Dubiel and her wife, Rachael, of Huntington, MA, and Amy LaBranche-Mazella and her husband, Gary Mazella, of Russell, MA. He is remembered with love by his devoted best friend and caregiver, Josh Kimball of Westfield, MA, along with many other cherished family members and friends.
A service, open to the public, will be held at Westfield Funeral Home, 4 Princeton St, Westfield, MA 01085 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 4, 2025 if you wish to pay your respects to him and his family.
