THOMAS PETER SZOSTEK

WESTFIELD – Thomas Peter Szostek, 51, passed away while surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, February 16, 2023. 

Tom was born on March 26, 1971, in Springfield, MA to Bernard Francis Szostek and Kalliopi Szostek (Pandalaki).

Tom was raised in West Springfield, MA, and graduated from West Springfield High School.  He earned a degree from Holyoke Community College.  Thomas was very mechanical and enjoyed a long career working in HVAC.

Tom proudly served his county in the Air National Guard at the 104 Fighter Wing.  

Tom had many interests and enjoyed many hobbies.  He loved vintage toy trains, playing guitar, spending time at the beach, motorcycles, dirt bikes, and ATVs.  But most of all Tom was an avid fan and collector of all things Star Wars.

Tom loved his friends and family with all his heart.  He is a loving husband and amazing father to 3 children.   Tom enjoyed socializing and keeping in touch with his many friends, new and old. 

Tom is predeceased by his daughter Elaina Szostek and his mother Kalla Szostek.

Tom is survived by his wife of 25 years Heather Szostek, his son Dean Szostek, his daughter Vivian Szostek, his father Bernie Szostek, his sister Marie Szostek, his niece Zoe Santiago, his nephew Ethan White, his mother and father-in-law Ed and Beth Brown, his sister-in-law Holly White, his close friends Mike Heath and Steve Anamisis, along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members, and friends he loved like family. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2023, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Westfield Funeral Home and Cremation, 4 Princeton St, Westfield, MA 01085  A private burial will be held at a later date.
