Virginia Arsenault Obituary

Virginia Marie Arsenault, 87, passed away Tuesday surrounded by her loving family.  Virginia was born May 28, 1931 in Cambridge, MA to the late John and Rose (McCann) O’Mara.  Virginia was a life long resident of Somerville.  She worked as a secretary for the District Attorney  for many years.  Virginia  was a member of the James A. Logan VFW Post Women's Auxiliary.  She loved her dogs and going for walks.  However, she lived for her grandkids.  She enjoyed trips to Seabrook and Hampton Beach, attending Neil Diamond concerts, watching the Red Sox and decorating her house for the holidays.  Virginia was predeceased by her beloved husband Philip, her sister Eleanor Arsenault and her brother in law Joseph Arsenault.  She will be dearly missed by her children Phyllis Arsenault-Berry and her husband William of Duxbury, VT, Paula Poole and her husband Richard of Hanover, MA, Patricia Hagar and her husband Gary of Southwick, John Arsenault and his late wife Eileen of Woburn, MA, Mark Arsenault and his wife Maureen of Somerville, MA and David Arsenault of Billerica, MA.  She was the cherished “Nana” to 8 grandchildren and “Great Nana” to 3 great grand children.  Family and Friends are asked to meet at St. Clements Church, 71 Warren Street in Medford, Friday September 14th at 11AM for a Liturgy of Christian Burial, with a burial to follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, https://alzfdn.org/support-us/donate/.
